Cooking is Our Passion

Cooking is my passion and I love doing it and I don’t get tired of cooking.  Sometimes I wonder if my 12 year old son shares the same passion as me as he has such good taste buds.  He actually can tell you what is in a food his eating.  I tell you, he is my food critic.  I can always be sure my son would comment on my food if is something is different.  My husband knows better than to say anything (grin).

The other day my husband made a scrambled egg for my son, but since we didn’t have enough eggs, he added a liitle bit of water to it. When my son tasted it the first thing he asked his dad was, “dad did you add water on the eggs?”  My husband was so amazed as he knew that our son did not see him add the water.

Even with my food, he is fast to pick up changes in my recipes.  I like to experiment and he always catches the change.  Even with the first bite he will make a comment that something is different. He can then proceed to tell you what ingrediants are changed or added – scary!

And my son can cook too.  He is better on the grill than what I have seen in most restaurants. He always gets the temperature of the meat just right to order.  Let me tell you, if you want a good marinade for a steak, ask my son and he’ll even cook it for you with the right temperature.
